April 2019 *Am 28. März 2019 war es wieder soweit, der Mädchenzukunftstag „Girls’Day“ hat deutschlandweit stattgefunden. Der Girls’Day ist das größte Berufsorientierungsprojekt für Schülerinnen weltweit. Wie im vergangenen Jahr hat das Pohlheimer Softwarehaus A+W die Türen der Software-Entwicklung für acht wissensdurstige junge Mädchen im Alter zwischen 11 und 14 Jahren geöffnet.* Im Vorfeld hatte das A+W- Organisationsteam ein abwechslungsreiches Programm auf die Beine gestellt. Inhalte waren einige theoretische, aber überwiegend praktische Stationen. Dabei konnten die Mädchen Einblicke in den Alltag des Betriebs gewinnen und ihre Fähigkeiten selbst erproben. Sie erhielten direkte Antworten auf ihre Fragen und konnten erste Kontakte knüpfen. Zu Beginn haben die Mädchen das Unternehmen genauer kennengelernt und sich mit dem A+W iShape, einer App zur Digitalisierung von Schablonen, auseinandergesetzt. So wurden Sie an das Thema „Software“ herangeführt. Danach konnten die wissbegierigen Mädchen mitverfolgen, mit welchen Aufgaben Software-Entwicklerinnen, IT Kundenberaterinnen und auch Kundenservice Mitarbeiterinnen täglich zu tun haben. Eine kleine Programmierarbeit hat die Teilnehmerinnen gefesselt, denn mit Hilfe einer webbasierten Applikation haben sie sich ihr eigenes Computerspiel gebaut. „Am meisten hat mir das Programmieren Spaß gemacht. Ich habe gar nicht gemerkt, wie die Zeit verflogen ist“, sagt Girls‘ Day Teilnehmerin Ulla. Ebenfalls haben sie etwas über die Einbindung unserer verschieden Scanner Lösungen in unserer Software erfahren.
