Microsoft®: No more maintenance for Windows Server® 2008, SQL Server® 2008/2008 R2 and Windows® 7

Did you know that various Microsoft products will be taken out of maintenance this year or at the beginning of next year? Here are a few products that A+W users may be using in connection with our software. Caution: These are not all Microsoft products for which the maintenance will be ceased in 2019 and 2020!

Windows Server® 2008

On January 14, 2020, Microsoft® will cease providing support for Windows Server® 2008 and 2008 R2. For additional information, please visit: https://www.microsoft.com/de-de/cloud-platform/windows-server-2008.

SQL Server® 2008

On July 9, 2019 Microsoft® will cease providing support for SQL Server® 2008 and 2008 R2. For additional information, please visit: https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/sql-server/sql-server-2008.

Windows® 7

Microsoft® is ceasing support for Windows® 7 on January 14, 2020. According to information from Microsoft®, after that, neither technical support nor automatic updates to protect PCs will be available. Therefore, Microsoft® urgently recommends that you switch to Windows® 10 before January 2020.
